George + Nicole

George dances, Nicole sings, and I take photos...

Photographing creative people can go one of two ways, you collaborate together to make something beautiful or they dominate and tell you how to do your job... Thankfully these two were a dream to work with, they were fun, relaxed and full of personality. Corbins Estate is such a great place to have a large wedding because of the expansive amount of space. George and Nicole used this space in an interesting way where they surrounded where they would stand to get married by people on all sides - this made photographing the wedding even more interesting and was a great challenge to do. After the 'I dos' the bridal party headed out to take photos in the rain... they went well but we eventually escaped into a converted old railway station in Auckland to get out of the cold. This beautiful building is where we literally danced away the rest of our time taking photos until we got kicked out for being too noisy. Time flies when you're having fun!

I'm a small town New Zealand boy who grew up on a farm with a Dad who showed me life through a lens. He had a Pentax Film Camera that captured my eye and I've loved photography ever since.
